Just so people don't think I have played for less than an hour. I don't know how long I have played, but I do know it has at least been for multiple 3-4 hour sessions just in the past month. that is only what I played this last week. I just wanted to voice my opinion and see if anyone agrees (or disagrees) with me.ĮDIT: I also just realized that STEAM says I have played for 0.2 hours. If they keep it like this: I likely won't be coming back to the game and I certainly won't be recommending it.Īll that said, as this is all just my personal opinion on the gameplay, and is in no way an "objectively negative" aspect to this game: I will not be giving it a negative review (as personally I think it would be silly to rate this with a thumbs down just because it isn't completely "my cup'o'tea"). I have had fun so far and therefore I don't regret this purchase, but I would not have purchased it had I known about this blueprint system. Especially when I want to start a new save. Not to mention it makes me enjoy the game a LOT less. The "search for blueprints" just doesn't feel right from a story perspective (to me). Unlike my character who is an anthropologist that has studied (and written a book on) the native culture in this area. IRL *I* know how to make some of these things, and I am an IT person. To me this would be similar to sending Bear Grylls out to survive somewhere and then tell him "now you can't make any tools or anything unless you come across them first." It feels like a very blatant "artifical difficulty". I like the game so far, except the part where I have to locate items to learn how to make them.
